Machine pieced, machine appliquéd, machine quilted. Commercially printed cotton fabrics, various threads, hand embroidery.
"Eve" began with the wonderful piece of batik fabric that I had purchased years earlier. When I saw it on the bolt, it said forest to me, forest with rays of sunlight penetrating. When the "Legendary Women" challenge was announced, I remembered that fabric and used it a basis for this piece. Since there was only one yard of it I had to figure a way to stretch it and used every scrap!
