In The Bleak Midwinter (2011) 
32 x 34" This piece was inspired by wanting to use the hand dyed fabric by Linda Frost in a sky. I used part of the same sketch for "Prairie Fire", this time with curved seam piecing and a winter setting. The distant snow is fabric hand dye painted by me and the rest of the fabrics are commercial prints. Made especially for the Kansas Art Quilter's "RED" exhibit, this shows that even in the bleakest of midwinter there is color if you look for it! Machine pieced and Machine quilted.
